The curriculums of both schools enable students to achieve high standards of both artistic and academic excellence.
Students must submit an application to the Palm Beach County School District’s Department of Choice Programs https://mypbchoiceapp.com/ in order to be eligible for admission. Students must successfully audition for one of the school’s art programs such as musical theater or voice.
Perform a memorized solo. This is normally an English folksong with CD accompaniment.
Students will be judged on ability to vocalize and match five tones.
Students must demonstrate solo pitch and rhythmic accuracy, tone quality, expressiveness and musical effect.
Students must perform a prepared solo – Evaluation will be based on Pitch and rhythmic accuracy, intonation, technique, tone quality, musical effect, diction, and expressiveness. A pre-recorded background or track is required for the solo.
